I have plans to make an SMD M-board. What I need is to find a spare
Yamaha M board that isn't priced at $500. Even one with all the custom
chips removed is fine as it is mostly needed for metrics.

As far as other filter topologies, let me get an M board working
first. ;) It will have better tuning trimpots, and a better stop
selector. I have two outlines for M board refits: original and
digitized. The digitized version would use a local microcontroller to
manage parameter presets...but that is a ways off yet. The prototypes
look like Yamaha TF-1 circuit boards because I am using an old TX FM
rackmount chassis as the test bed. I call the thing my CSR-80. But
actual M boards have to fit where vintage ones fit, so eventually it all
has to be compacted.
