My policy is that it's up to the buyer to choose to insure their goods or not.
Obviously they are waiving any indemnity if the goods arrive damaged or not at all. In the past I have requested that the value of an item be listed on a customs declaration as much lower to avoid taxes but know that I am also taking a big risk not insuring the item, & I have done the same for buyers of my gear. That's just the way it is.
