Subject: R: [yamahacs80] Re: CS80 Midi and files

MikeThx for your replyWhat I was looking for is a series of specific test files, rather than generic samples, which can help me documenting the velocity response from the lowest to the strongest force appliable on the machine: midi would allow me some exact levels so I can track the curve exactly. Moreover I've been trying to catch the specific response of the TWS on the brilliance/level for years but the soundfiles that I've already got don't help me to close the circle.Because the scanning and encoding of the velocity signal is made analog way it's hard for me to detect the specific shape from out b1 in the TWS and consequently the variation in the VCAs that make up the TRG1 board.Concerning the Kenton retrofit I have all the presets played by a sequencer at 20-64-127 each (T.Priakos, I can never thank you enough!), they show a big action of the velocity on the general brilliance level in both the filters and the VCAsSo,thanks a lot if you're feeling like helping me, you're welcome as all the people here owning a retrofitted model!;-)M

I'm going to post a ton of stuff here in hopefully the next week. I've got a CS-80 I just finished. Absolutely nothing has been neglected or overlooked. It is in top shape.

There was another guy that was trying to sell sample packs I spoke with a while ago that you might want to search for. Is anybody interested in a sample pack? I was thinking about hard wiring my CS-80 to some midi to voltage conversion tools and attacking it that way. On another note, I don't understand how Kenton matches the velocity / pressure curve with 7 bits.
