Thanks for the info.  I've looked at the CS-50 service manual before (and I looked at it again) and I cant find the step by step process for calibrating the thing. 
The CS-80 calibration guide works for a few thigns but most things arent the same.  Like, the KAS board looks the same but the voltages are way different (its not a calibration thing, the voltages just arent even close to what the CS-80 calls out anywhere on any board.  
Anyway, I have a little more info about the 3rd voice that just starts at one frequency and then drops.   The frequency (note) never changes no mater what key you press.  It only changes octaves when you select the different octave tabs.  Does this clue anyone into whats going on?

Also, does anyone have an interest in buying this thing from me for $1100.  It doesnt have the sound I want (I got tons of funky old school instruments, the CS-50 is kind of redundant to my other stuff).  I am looking for a newer sounding device.  I dont want to spend the time fixing this CS-50 since I dont even want to keep it.
