Subject: How can I get better results with velocity and aftertouch?

I've already replaced the tantalum and electrolytics on the TSB1 & TSB2 boards but still get some very mixed results going into the 4051's. My voltages for aftertouch at full pressure can range anywhere from 4.5v to 6.5v+ Right now, I'm wondering how much of a difference it would make to replace the 22K resistor, the .047 cap and the 1M resistor on the TSB1 & TSB2 Boards. I still haven't measured velocity with a scope yet but it could definately be better.
I've got a gut feeling that I need to take the actual keybed apart and rebuild it. Has anyone ever done this? Does anyone have advice? This may sound silly, but how do I take the white keys out?
