Thanks, David, for supplying the answer to how the Microsyne interfaced...it makes you lose your appetite to see all those guts sprawled out like that.  I remember the post, now, but never associated the two (microsyne and synthedata).  Through searching on the web I found that Synthedata dissolved as a company on the 23rd of December 2002. It was on a site listing several other Canadian companies that had bit the dust.

Just recently, one of our members posted about this:

Apparently, he has a CS80 that used to have this installed, basically
tearing up much of the CS80's guts :(
