Thanks for that tip. Don't know why I didn't think of that as I've done that in a P5 before.
After swapping them and the problem stayed I decided to crank up the scope and check
the waveshaper and I believe that is the problem. Now I just need to find one of those!

there. easiest way to tell is to swap the chip out for a working voice-be careful! the legs
on those types of chips are easy to bend putting them in and out of sockets. good luck-rj
