Hi David and everyone on this group,
I'ts me Anders (not Andrew..) who building a CS80 replica controller,
it is a crazy idea and my addiction to have a real one got to large
so i decided to do something. The project started this summer,
building from realy nothing, no drawings only from pictures
references and some measurements from the Yamaha manual. I'm in the
middle of the project right this moment, next step is to sceen print
the panel and thats my first time screen printing. Lot's of trial and
error on the way but it's very educating trying diffent methodes
(excuse my spelling, i'm from sweden) To get this up and running i
have an Ensoniq TS-10 synth for the polyphonic aftertouch, 2 Doepfer
USB-64 midi controller boards for slidepots to midi cc, a Doepfer RM2
ribbon controller and finally Arturias CS80V.
And know i trying to get slide caps(knobs) with all diffrent colour
like the original, maybe one idea to buy an Yamaha Electone organ to
get some slide caps.
The project is fully documented and when it's finished (if it's ever
going to be finished..) i'm going to post it up somewhere.
Anders
