Subject: Polysix contacts and something else

Hello everyone!

I'm new to the group and this is my first post. I recently got my
polysix really cheap. The battery needed changing so i ordered a
similar one (cost about 4 euros). Because i'm no good with the
soldering iron, a synth technician fitted the battery for me for 5
euros. So the battery thing has now been dealt with.

But the problem: one key wouldn't play, so i opened the synth up and
started cleaning the contacts, but the problem wasn't the dirty
contact, it was the missing rubber strip! According to Old Crow's
excellent site, there should be nine 6-cap strips and one 7-cap strip,
but i had ten 6-cap strips... weird. So where can i get that one
missing cap? Has anyone tried improvising with some old computer
keyboard rubber mats? Will that work?

Another thing caught my eye when i was checking things out... Is this
supposed to be like this? Check out the picture:

It's a wire on KLM-370 from R2 and R3 but where should it go?

Antti
