To all Polysix fans........

Wanted to share with someone.....
I'm so excited.....I'm feeling faint........
I have to sit down.....
Oh my god....someone dial 911......

I can die a content man now....
because a Polysix of mine now has midi.....

Since 1982 I've had a Polysix.....
Always would say with a whine....."I wish the Polysix had midi..."

I ordered the Midi Interface Upgrade from Virtual Music....

that's VIRTUAL MUSIC around $170.00

A synth upgrade company in Europe.... somewhere......
They offer a Polysix midi "cludge" that accepts midi note on and
off....
It's perfect.... that's all I really need or want.....

Too many parameters spoil the soup.....

It's a socket kit....
Lift your processor chip....
plug small kit PC brd into open processor socket....
Plug processor into kit PC brd socket.....

Mount the midi female connector to back of keyboard....
( this is the hardest part.... a 5/8ths inch hole is needed...
and two 1/8" holes for the mounting screws.......
Make sure your wires are out of the way.....
Drill a pilot hole first.....use gentle force...
gradually larger bits...
until the proper diameter is reached....
If rushed the metal will grab a large bit...or....
drill bit will push through...cutting though god knows what...
Don't hurry this easy step...
it's a large hole for a hand-drill....a "uni-bit" is a good idea...
and don't worry about popping the Polysix's cherry status....
I'd take a functional midified Polysix over some pristine unit
any day.....a sequenced Polysix has potential to impress )

So there you have it......
It's a ecconomical alternative.....

They came through....Product does as advertised....
( My package missed me somehow first shipping...wound up back in
Europe...They got hold of me...comfirmed address...and re-sent...
Had it in a week....)
