Hi all,
I'm new to this group, cause I am just waiting for my (first?) P6.
I know already that it had a battery leakage problem, that has been
fixed, and it played for long time.
Now there are some problems with some pots - we'll see.
I have two questions:
- First I have to test the connections (wires) that have been
replaced. Could there be any impact/damage on the ICs and the CPU if
I just test it with an Ohm-meter? As you konw, those devices send a
small current through the wires to measure the resistance, maybe some
will go through some Pins of the ICs, too.
- How can I test the connections, if I shouldn't use a normal
Multimeter?
- @ Old Crow: I've heard about those pictures of the PCB layout. Are
those available for download directly?
BR,
Olaf
