Subject: Need some advice on a synth problem

Hi all.

I'm trying to solve a problem I have with my Kawai SX-210 which is
VERY similiar to the Polysix both in it's concept and features.

It is a 8 notes polyphonic synth, which has 32 patches memory, tape
in/out, no midi, using DCO, CPU controller board and SSM2044 filter
chips. Much like the Polysix.

This is reason I think you may be able to help.

The problem -

It had it's Nicad battery leaking all over the computer board,
causing the machine to go crazy. I had replaced the battery and
rebuild about 20% of the board components and traces.

Most problem were solved, the only on that still exist is that the
8th note that is assigned sounds duller, and if is played along with
other notes, the whole chord will scatter ! it is like gates are sent
again and again even when you play a "flat" chord. The notes of which
the gates are being sent are changing every time new notes are
assigned, so it is not a certain gate that makes the problem.

Also, if the EG value (in the Modulation section of the VCF) is below
about 15, the scatterness will not happen. If you raise up the EG
value above 15 it will start to scatter, and as the value is raised
up, the speed of that "sctterness" will go up as well.

Also for the 8th (problematic) note, the Attack and Decay in the VCF-
EG section not respond (will sound like they're value id always 0)

The gates that are sent again and again when the probelm occurs, as I
said, could be any of the 8 gates sent from the computer board to the
audio board.

Thanks for any advice !!
