Subject: can't write to memory correctly after battery repair

Hi, I acquired a Polysix that had the dreaded battery leakage. I cleaned the board, checked all the traces in the area and repaired a few, replaced the battery and also had to replace IC 31. The keyboard now works fine except that it does not save the patches correctly. If I create a patch, and then write it to a new location, the patch will sound correctly until I go to another patch and return to the previous saved location, which now just has garbage. The patch saved in that location will for some reason have settings that prevent it from sounding correctly, like cutoff all the way down or bad envelope settings, I'll have to adjust numerous parameters to get a normal sounding patch. It doesn't seem to be the saved patch minus a few adjustments, at least there's no pattern that I can detect like attack and cutoff always store incorrectly but some other parameters store correctly.
Any advice on how to determine if the issue is that the patches are not storing correctly versus not being retrieved from memory correctly, or what components might be suspect? I rechecked the traces in the area around the battery on KLM 367 but could not find any additional issues.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mark
