Good point about early units.
I have seen a few differenced among the two units I had: one had a black filter box at the power input, the other doesn't. One had a ground wire going to the back metal plate of the chassis, the other doens't have this but has the wire going from the audio + tape jacks GND rail to the aluminium sheet which spans under the effects board up to part of the voice board. One has additional GND connection on the power input board prior to the transformer and the other has the port to make the connections but nothing is connected.
There's a possibility that I need to do the modifications of the subsequent units on my current Polysix.
The grounding definitely has to be improved, I think even on later units, no question about it.
I think even the layouts of these old boards aren't very well made and could be seriously improved nowadays.
