Subject: Re: [PolySix] 8049 Polysix/Monopoly Keyboard encoder chips available

I've got a vintage programmer that will handle these.
If the cost is low enough, I can offer replacement 8048 CPUs for less than the original $25.
Figure a $5 programming fee, plus the cost of the chip....

I purchased a few hundred brand new NOS 8748s in an auction a year or so ago (I wanted other bits from the lot, so they were a bonus).  If anyone (~GMM?) wants some just let me know - I don't have much use for them.  You'll have to find someone else to program them for you, though.

Cheers,
A.

Cleaning out my shelves, have found several of these. Tested them in a Polysix, and they all work fine.
KORG used this same keyboard encoder chip in the Polysix and the Monopoly.
$25 plus shipping.

Also, for anyone needing the 8048 chips for the CPU board --
there is a programmable version (8748H) available, which I can program for you.
Same price.
