Hello group,
I am new here. I traveled to Tokyo recently and got my dream instrument, a nice-looking Polysix. I demoed it in the store and all the keys and knobs worked, there was no visible damage to the circuit boards. It has a coin type 3V battery soldered on.
After getting it home and plugging into a step down 100V converter, I noticed that it seemed a little bit too “analogue.” It makes lots of great growly sounds like an SH-101 but I couldn’t get some of those creamy acoustic patches like strings and brass that I heard on youtube and learned about from playing with the software versions (IPAD version)
So I decided to dial in some of the factory patches I found in the files section to test it out. Sure enough, none of the patches sound like what they are supposed to sound like.
I made a demo describing what patches I programmed and then an audio demo so you can hear what is coming out.
The file is a .wav, it’s called "polysix presets.”
I am not sure how much I would be able to fix, but I would at least like to very that is a problem because sometimes I get paranoid about these types of things.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sava
