I would consider selling the unit now to someone who has the
skills to repair it.    You got a good price and should be able
to make a quick profit.  I guess the main issue would be the "smashed"
rear panel.   I would not put a rechargeble battery in a PolySix.
the Lithium battery mod works well and is a cheaper and safer option.

just got a rather bad shape poly 6 for $100.

1.  powers up.
2.  some keys sound.
3.  battery has not rotted.
4.  makes one sound and no pots work.
5.  all switches work/light up.

Insides look great, rear is SMASHED but intact.
Volume pot is shot, (need to press down on it to make it work)

Questions:

FACT:  I am unskilled at soldering past a high school level.

My thought was to order a factory battery because I cant jumper diodes and voltages on the charging mod on the coin slot lithium battery mod.

My thoughts were to attempt fixezs on the basic level.

If I cant get it working perfect then start desoldering the chips and sell them after I test they work.
