Yep, the main board had battery damage. It was replaced with the KiwiSix board though. I suppose some corrosion may have snuck around elsewhere.

If it's sharp to start with and then improves once it's warmed up, I'm
familiar with that kind of fault as well.
Has your Poly Six been battery damaged at some point?
I've got a clients Poly 61 that suffered extensive battery damage. The
thing is completely mad for about the first hour, and then after that it
starts behaving OK.
I've removed a few ICs on the CPU board and cleaned the PCB under them
with lots of IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol) which seemed to improve certain
aspects of the issues, but I've not managed to get rid of all them.
Might be a residue issue.
