Subject: Re: [PolySix] Please help on MIDI Retrofit Kit P6-MRK made by Korg USA in 1986

I'm pretty sure this is the kit I installed into my machine. Here's all the information I have for the P6 and that kit. Good luck. The file called Polysix_M_Schematic is probably your best starting point to figuring out what you need to do.

Hi,

There are pictures of the Korg MIDI Retrofit in the files section of the
list: http://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/PolySix/photos/albums/912066063

According to these the big IC sockets (DIL40) are for the CPUs of the
KLM-366 and KLM-367 board and flat cables which connect to KLM-366,
KLM-367. Additionally there is a smaller IC socket (DIL14 or DIL16)
which accepts a flat cable connecting the MIDI jack I/O module at the
rear panel.

Apparently he owns a Korg retrofit as well. He might be able to give
you more information.
