The typical way this is done is by buying a midi to CV/Gate/Trigger converter. With that you can send out your trigger pulses via midi, which convert to Trig. If you have another piece of equipment that has midi in and trigger/gate out you can pass information through there to get to the Polysix.
The other way is to set up something like the Silent Way plugin suite and setting up the correct Trig output from one of your 828 output jacks with the correct cable. This assumes it's an 828 MKII or MKIII. I can't recall if MKI supports this arrangement at all. You'll need to do your research here to see if this will work for you.
The third option is to add a midi kit to the Polysix (which is my personal preference). It's like night and day having Midi in one of these.
Bottom line, your computer isn't designed to send out voltages to trigger the Arpeggiator without something to convert this in between. On its own it's not possible. You'll need to resaerch the above options and see what fits best.
