Hi,
Are you sure both the 2044 and 2056 are dead for both of the dead voices?
I mean, have you swapped only one with a working voice and verified that the broken voice is still not fixed, PLUS that the previously working voice stops working at the same time?
Just want to make sure that you don't only test the broken voices and swap chips until it works and then assume all the swapped chipes were toast.
BR,
Peter

Subject: [PolySix] Re: Voices not working
Hi,
I swapped both the SSM2044s and 2056s around for the dead voices and found that all 4 aren't working.
Following on, the remaining SSM2044s have differing volume levels specific to the chip - not slot.
I've reposition the ICs so I have voices 1-4 working and 5/6 not.
Will calibration sort out the sound levels and sonic inconsistencies for the working voices ?
Regards
Tony
