Alright, thanks for the insight! Good you became close with the JP-6, since the P6 took so long to repair!
My other vintage poly is the Korg Lambda, great synth/stringer, so simple and old fashioned :)
Good luck on the P6, actually I have a similar problem. Gotharman installed MIDI on the one I own, but it keeps hanging, or simply stops responing to MIDI after a while, typically after 5 to 15 minutes. I haven't looked into it yet though.
