Subject: Re: [PolySix] Various KLM-367 ramblings (old and new)

Hi Malte,

I feel like I am posting too much these days and should let someone else
have a go, but I do have some comments for you...

I have seen a fair few KLM-367 over the pass couple of years and it would be
fair to say there are two sorts. Those marked ŒKLM-367¹ and those marked
ŒKLM-367A¹. I am guessing that those were changed during the advent of the
revised KLM-366. So I you have a Œ366 with the CV MPX daughter board, then
you are going to have an early version of the Œ367. You can tell the early
Œ367 because R37 and R38 are situation vertically on the board and the later
ŒA¹ series these are horizontal at the top. Plus, with the non-A revs there
is a 100nF ceramic on wires as a mod on the top and similar 4K7 resistor
soldered to the back. You board sounds like it has had a bit of work done to
it. Maybe the paralleled resistor are repairs where the tech didn¹t have the
right values to hand! A nice photo wouldn¹t go a miss so we all can see.

If you look at the Farnell parts list which was posted on the Group Buy site
you will see part numbers for 0.25W precision resistors which are 0.1% metal
film. These are a bit more expensive and probably a bit over the top, but
fit really nicely. The 0.6W ones are a little too large for the board, but
OK if you have used them.

C9/C24. Agreed the original Œ367 uses plastic film types in these positions.
Polyester is listed on the parts list, but I seem to remember this was just
a question of availability at the time the list was compiled. Either type
should suffice under the circuits' electrical conditions.

Hope this helps!

Andy
