When using the internal clock, it starts a new cycle when you hit the keys, so you can't go wrong there. It plays starting immediately at the correct tempo. Using external, you could have a problem. It plays the first note immediately when you hit the keys and the second note will sound when it gets the external trigger, so the first two notes could be quite close together and very noticeable if you are using a slow external clock. At higher speeds I don't think it would very noticeable.

Assuming I have the ARP clock set to the rate that I want, either internal clock or external one, when put my hands on the keys, does the arpeggiation start right away or does it wait for the first clock? I'm curious what happens if my timing is off and I put my hands on the keys at a time different than the start of the clock.
