Hello,
I posted a few weeks ago about my switch difficulties.
It seems pretty clear to me that they probably stem
from my corroded KLM-367, which I have now removed
from the unit. Corrosion had been creeping up the
ground wire to the middle knob board, so I nipped that
off. It had almost reached the board, but thankfully,
it looks like no corrosion had spread to the board
itself. but I know corrosion can be a sneaky thing,
so I am wondering if there is anything I should do to
make sure that if there are any remaining traces of
corrosion, they do not spread (though I can't really
see any).
So now I need someone to repair my KLM-367. It's been
hit pretty hard and is in need sore need of attention
by someone who is skilled enought to make the needed
repairs. I live in NYC, but would certainly ship the
board if necessary. I haven't been able to get in
touch with Scott Rider, who seems to be the preeminent
authority on these things. Can anyone help me?
Any suggestions would be appreciated,
-Henry Till
