Hi all,
Here's another quick update on the KLM-367 project.
The prototype PCBs and all the parts came in last week and the beginning of this week. One of the prototypes is now on its way across the ocean to Andy so he can test it as well.
The only thing holding me back now is finding time to solder! I hope to be able get started tonight, but given the size of the board and my limited time in the evenings I don't expect to finish up mine until next weekend (~ Aug. 23). Once the prototypes are assembled and tested we'll know if we need to make any changes before moving on to a production run. I'm hopeful that any changes will be minimal.
Folks who are planning on building up a board from scratch (as I am) should be aware that the parts costs are higher than I would have guessed -- I've spent approximately $100, not including the cost of the board. So fair warning.
I'll post another update (and maybe some photos if I've got the time) as the assembly and testing moves along.
Best regards,
Jed
