Hi folk,

I am returning to my music hobby after an extended absence.

I am currently working on putting together a home studio I am happy to
work with. In the past I have been frustrated trying to write music
without enough gear, or computer power to do what I wanted, so I have
decided to focus on my gear first this time. I have a few synths, and
am building a few DIY boxes as well. I still mostly use hardware
synths, and just a few soft synths (my PC can't handle much more than
one at a time anyway).

I have a PolySix which I like for its real old school warmth. I mostly
do MIDI sequencing, so I am not too sure how I will fit the PolySix
into a recording yet; probably just use it to overdub some pads or
sweeps. At some stage I may do a MIDI retro-fit.

I will be pretty keen to do some mods to the PolySix, but not for a
while. At least I will definitely need to resurface the key contacts,
as they are very unreliable. I've done a little repair to my PolySix
in the past, due to battery leakage; replaced battery with rechargable
LiIon, and replaced corroded PCB traces with wires.

I like to do very electronic ambient music, and a little harder techy
stuff sometimes.

Cheers,

Oli
