Subject: Disaster struck my Polysix...

Last summer I bought a PolySix -it was in pretty bad shape except the
KLM 367 board, where the battery had not yet leaked.
I changed the battery to a lithium (according to Old Crows
instructions), but I could to get synth in tune.
Then two weeks ago I bought another PolySix in good shape (only a
little amount of battery acid, and keyboard needed cleaning).
I cleaned the keyboard and switched the KLM 367 and it was as good as
new :-)
The Polysix has been sitting on my (cheap) X-stand since I fixed it......
...that's until disaster struck -probably last night....
The X-stand collapsed and a unfortunately a disc used for locking the
stand, pierced the plywood... :-(
I opened the synth and found the KLM 366 voiceboard pushed up from the
plywood. I checked all connectors and powered up the synth.
Unfortunately it made only strange noises (even in manual mode) I
checked connectors again and then all leds on the program-board
flashed on and off.
I then turned off the synth again.
I'll contact my insurance-company tomorrow -before I investigate
further...
This really breaks my heart -I just had to share this with fellow
Polysix owners...
Btw. I've just put in an advert -looking for a quality keyboard stand....
Sad regards,
