Hm yeah this can be difficult. For my Juno 106 (Roland) I have a very
old backup holding the original presets (well almost) which I can only
reload when I twiddle around with some equalizer.

Nevertheless, Gil is right, in manual mode it should work.

You need to figure out whether the CPU is working or not.

I only own a Trident MK2 but before I fixed it, the CPU seemed to crash:
Several presets were activated at the same time according to the LEDs
and the sounds were nothing more but noise.

In the Trident playing seems to be independent from controlling. This
means that apparently the synthesizer gets used by the keyboard
controller CPU but it does not produce any useful sounds because the
main CPU doesn't set the parameters right.

One way to see that the main CPU has crashed is when it doesn't react
when you select a program or switch to manual mode.

Apart from that: Check in the manual mode again by setting a simple
sound manually.
