Well, one obvious thing you might have overlooked --
removing the battery wipes the program memory; if you don't program in (or
reload) patches, you'll get random (or no) sound. Try putting the front
panel into "Manual" mode & see if you can get the controls to respond.
If this doesn't work, go back & check to be sure you replaced ALL the
inter-board connectors.
