Subject: Re: Polysix: effects don't work

I found a faulty trace that ran from underneath the battery, right
above the C40 legend, to just next to IC34, right of where 'KLM-367A1'
is printed. it seemed fine going from the first point to the 7th pin
on CN03, but couldnt get as far as the 2nd point. Anyway, I repaired
this and now Resonance doesn't work properly, if the knob is moved
upwards the sound goes completely. Very strange.

Note the readings I was getting for pin 7 were probably not accurate
in my last post, they are over a wider range. They don't seem to have
changed now, but as I say Resonance isn't working properly.

To Richard Kilpatrick: I read your thread and it sounds like it's a
battery leakage. The blue 3.6v is almost certainly the NiCad Varta
battery my model also had, but mine had leaked long before I bought
it, and so I was sold it for just £30. I would be sure to get an
accurate diagnosis before you sell it on ebay however, I may be wrong.
But it does sound like there's a few too many things going wrong there.

Rich
