Subject: Polysix parts needed and a question or two...

From: "evening_soundgate" <evening@soundgate.org>

Greetings all,

Just picked up a filthy, beatup but mostly workin' polysix.
Keyboard contact needs cleaning etc.
Fortunately the battery isn't leaking but it's a little tired - reads
2.3vdc.

First, questions:

The main issue is that the waveform and wavelength switches are
erratic, not in a mechanical sense though. They seem to work OK after
the unit is on for a while, but will be erratic again after a
power-cycle. I was hoping that this was because the battery was weak
but recent posts seem to debunk that theory. Any ideas?

Bank switches?

I know that Alps makes a replacement but it doesn't appear to have the
built-in LED holder. What's the solution? should I just solder the
LED's directly to the PCB?

Parts wise, I need;

1 grey button cover
2 white button covers
1 black key
4 bank switches∗
1 two-position slide switch (tape enable).

if you have spares, let me know.

peace,

john
