Yes, the batteries had a notion to leak. Buy one with a leaky battery
and you'll get it cheaper, but then you'll have to fix it. Often,
this isn't as bad as it sounds, because we have the "pro" right here
on the list. When I say 'pro', I really mean "crow". THe old pro,
crow.

I bought my P6 for 200 cash. I don't know if this is a good price. I
don't care really either! (so there!) It had problems in the Patch
Memory department. Several things didn't work right, so I only had
about 1/4 the memory slots (8 instead of 32 I think?)

Decided to replace the battery for the hell of it. I found that it
was already replaced (with the same model as the original battery).
Several traces on the board were fixed, but they missed a few of
them. I put in a Li-Ion battery, and fixed the other traces that the
last guy missed and now it works much much better.

I still don't have -1 suboctave, but I have -2 suboctave, and this is
what I normally use anyhow so it's no big deal (although I'd like the
option)

I dunno where you'd get one... watch ebay, watch "daddy's junky music"
if you're in the US (especially in the NE) but their prices can be a
bit "off". I found mine in the local used music gear store in
phoenix. I was debating between the p6 and an akai (ax-73 I think????
something with mad sliders on it)

good luck!
