I'm new here and I'm glad this mailing lists exists. I hope someone is
reading. :)

I had bought a Polysix from a friend who had it standing around for a
couple of years, without using it. I know it worked before. But after
this long time some things need(ed) to be fixed. Now that I have found
some time to clean the keyboard-contacts (those rubber keyboard repair
kits are really worth the money!) and to change the battery (still
doesn't work properly... patches are saved, but lost when turned
off... i will have to check the board again), there's one thing that
really worries me:

One of the oscillators is out of tune. The pitch of each sixth note is
a little higher, with the following exception: notes below 'D' of the
second octave don't play at all (only that one oscillator of course).
There's only a tiny and barely audible click (like it does with all
notes when attack is set to 0). So, left of 'D' the oscillator appears
to be dead, right of it it's pitch is too high. On 'D' itself pitch is
too low and slightly raises over time (the other, higher notes have a
steady pitch)

Does anyone know if this is a problem that can be fixed by going
through the service manual's calibration procedure? Or is it likely
that one Osc is dead? What would be needed to replace a dead Osc?

One other Osc is slightly lower in Volume, but I guess this can be
fixed by calibrating it.

I really want this Polysix to work again. It's a true gem and it even
had been MIDIfied back in the days. No matter what has to be done, I
will do it!
