Hi Bonnie,
Oh I just got back from Missoula. Hot day for travel with no A/C. And
it wasn't lame enough, I had to pick up some stinky hippies and give them a
ride to Helena :-). Musically finally getting back to some recording
though. I almost have a track ready that sounds real blade runnerish using
JP4 and JV1080 with some real percussion. And still trying to get a few old
gems fixed...got my siel dk600 working finally with a processor swap, but on
some of the patches there's this erratic tick/pop sound in the background
kind of. Changes a lot when you move pwm control and...sometimes I see it
correlate to something going on where it thinks you've made a change in the
program and the light starts flashing like it's prompting you to save
it...but you can hit 'enter' to restore the sound and then it sometimes
hesitates a bit or just pops right back to flashing...strannnge one. And
a guy gave me an octave cat I'm partly done restoring. VCO1 still no go.
This one has some strange modules on it that are SINGLE inline ceramic
modules that says "CKT #2" with some other longer number...ring any bells?
Can't find anything like it in the diagrams I've got and it actually has
wires to things that aren't even in the diagram so...pretty much a different
SRM kitty I guess.
What have you been up to? Recording or playing much? -Bob
