From: Bill Sautter <sautter@...>

Dear fellow Moog & synth afficiandos,
You are receiving this because we have had past dealings on Moog &synth matters (or you're on a Moog-related newsgroup to which Isubscribe). It is a 1-time message, so no need to "opt-out" ifyou're not interested. That said, if you're a Moog & synth loverlike I am, then I can't think of a more worthy cause to considersupporting financially or otherwise...

I was invited by Michelle Moog-Koussa & Laura Moog to attend theMoog Foundation Advisory Board meeting after the Moog Symposium in NYCweek before last (which preceded the excellent MoogFest4 on 9/22).

Bob's "archives" that were discovered in several locationsafter his passing were one of the topics of conversation. They areextensive, and because he didn't store a lot if it in climate-controlledenvironments, some pieces have mold and/or deterioration, but many othersare okay. The cataloging, preservation and restoration (as need be) of"Dr. Bob's" archives is EXTREMELY important to the Foundation& family.

We're excited that Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins has committed tosupport the project!http://www.contactmusic.com/news.nsf/article/corgan%20setting%20up%20moog%20museum_1045678

The Moog Foundation needs to raise funds for the restoration &preservation of the Moog archives, among their other stated goals ofendowing academic scholarships, music education and expansion of Moog& synth-related concerts around the world. If you would like todonate -- or know any deep-pocketed friends, relatives, corporations orfoundations -- then please do so at:www.moogfoundation.org

P.S. Does anyone have a photo of the Beatles or RollingStones playing their Moog modulars? If so, please email them to me, so Ican pass them on to the Foundation.

Thanks,
Bill
