Hi,
My name is Rob Matthias and I am a new member.Like many of you,I was
sad to hear of the passing of Bob Moog and john Simonton.They were both
heroes of mine.I had corresponded with Bob Moog by E-mail and had
talked to John Simonton on the phone.They were both wonderful and
accessable men,not to mention quite brilliant individuals.I think the
best way to pay tribute to these two great men is to keep their machines
going and playing great music.I hope that their synthesizers continue
to be produced in present form.I wish the older modular stuff was still
available,but like many others,I could not afford a large system!
I am in the process of adding-on to my old Paia 2720,4720 system.I
recently built a 2720-2A oscillator.I had three different design's
of oscillator's running into a mixer and tracking each other.What a
huge,warm sound!
Well, hope to hear from all of you and keep on playin your synths!
