Re: [oldsynths] [OT] eBay Fraud Alert - Arp 2600 yeah, this guy had the same synth for sale at the same time by TWO different sellers a couple of weeks ago. same photo and everything. just a different seller. i contacted him to ask what the deal was because i thought it was sketchy. within an hour or two of my email both were withdrawn. i guess he’s trying again.

Just an FYI for everyone, some misguided soul has been pushing what I consider to be
a fraudulent Arp 2600 auction on eBay for about 3 weeks, now.

Currently, it's item #3700105172 and is listed as a mint 2600 with the "Moog filter"
and a Kenton MIDI/CV interface.

I put an absurdly low bid down about 3 weeks ago, and eBay cancelled the auction
and suspended him.

This Seller changes IDs with every attempt, but not the ad copy. Several other
potential Buyers and eBay all seem to be "on" to him, but it looks real inviting, and I'd
hate to see anyone taken in.

Just my own opinion, of course... But Buyer Beware...!
