I have an Alesis Midiverb II which works great (in general).
I use it for various purposes. It contains many pre-sets.

Anyhow, I have Akai samplers (S2000 & CD3000XL) with Master Bits Mello Zone MKII samples installed. Very nice. The entire 8 sec of each note from a real MKII was sampled and not looped.

I run the Akai through a DANELECTRO DSR-1 SPRING KING reverb (real analog with a real spring) Very nice to my ears.
