Subject: Re: [newmellotrongroup] forget that junk go digital

Binary computing is a technological dead end.  It's still got legs but it is contributing to the overall dumbing down.  The current and continuing existence of the Mellotron is hugely important in a world where things that were built 30 years ago can't be replicated anymore.

In the future, please ignore any messages like the "forget that junk go digital get a memotron" message. Clearly this guy was throwing out some bait, trying to get someone to bite. Frank, You got fished-in.

I don't want anyone to get the impression that we don't tolerate discussions about digital samplers. We can discuss any musical instrument here. We tolerate just about anything on this list.

Merry Christmas
