I think it was Fritz a while back who waslamenting how the visual media (movies, etc.) keep expanding on quality andclarity while audio media (music, etc.) keeps squeezing the life out of thequality by sampling and smashing things down --- There’s also a reasonthat so much of what has been sliced, diced and regurgitated from digitalinstruments is from real instruments, like a multiple-ton pipe organ that can’tslip into your “hip” pocket.
