Flat black keys are hard to get used to, but it can be done.  Biggest problems are really crappy General MIDI sounds and no velocity sensitivity or sustain pedal.  Way better than nothing, but I really wish somebody (KORG, are you listening?  You already have the NanoKey!) would make a more version a little more playable than the existing ones.  Some of the costlier ones do have MIDI outs, so you can use a separate module, but with the abundance of good samples out there you would think they'd be able to install some more authentic and musically useful patches even in the cheapest ones.

I am off overseas for a couple of months away from my beloved tron, piano and Korg midi keyboard, I will have no access to any keyboard for a couple of months and the Korg is too big to fit in my backpack and might be an awkward shape for hand luggage. I have seen roll up pianos advertised and read one review anybody tried one?
