It is soft, but not as thick as the original .  It feels firmer than the mushy keyboard felt. I think it feels superior to the felt.

Hey Fritz-
Pinch rollers are in my future too.  My originals are simply rocks on wheels (ala the Flintmobile).  Is the new keyboard stop strip a soft & thick suede leather?

Not felt!  Streetly sent me a strip of leather that they use. It went in easy. It deepens the throw of the keys and provides a firmer landing.  I instantly preferred it.  The old felt slides right off and the new leather strip was applied with contact cement..easy.

I'm actually looking forward to the pad arms and roller resetting.  It's therapeutic for me.

New pinch rollers make a world of difference and they're easy to replace. I don't envy you changing the felt and resetting the pad arms though. Did you get the felt from Streetly or from a local source?
