I was introduced to the Mellotron by Yes (Close to the Edge, and Tangerine Dream). bought #510 in 1975,
The lads at Streetly did a full restoration some years later, and then I bought their M4000.
New of the Moody Blues, but here in the good ole U.S.A. they didn't get much air play, at least from my experience.
"In the Court" came out when I was only 14, so that had something to do with it as well.

Frankly I was more in touch with TD as I could play along with it.
Thanks again John, Martin and the Bradley brothers for their refinement of the Chamberlin.

Merry Christmas to all!

I wanted one from the first time I heard one and figured out what that sound was. Watcher Of The Skies and all that King Crimson stuff just fascinated me. I never thought I could afford/find one. Then, I bought the one from bandmate Victor DeLarenzo of the Violent Femmes. When I first heard it well recorded in one of my recordings I about pissed my pants in joy. I have to stop myself from using it on every recoding I do. Having my Arvo Part/Gorecki choir ready at any time is an improvisers dream.
