Thanks Bruce, the m300a violins are on the new tape frame but no longer in the tron. #1565s case is seriously out of alignment and I think the tapes are at risk of damage, so I only keep the old tape frame in which has the knackered Mark II violins. Can still sound great if it's is in the mood!
I sampled the M300a violins on a good day a year or two back. I hope to restore #1565 when I retire. If I want a quick low fi sound I use the Korg Microsampler otherwise I use the Shortcircuit vst in Reaper. I don't know why but I find software reverb and equalisation more successful than hardware. Possibly I don't have the right hardware. I think that particular piece was recorded in FL Studio.
I still play #1565 now and then, but it's going to need a lot of time and at the moment I would rather be making music.

Excellent, Mark.
Are the M300A tapes on your frame new or old? In any case, you extracted a sound and mood from them I really like. Thanks!

Apologies if I've posted this here before.
M300a violins shrieking away. A very chromatic piece with a little harmony in the centre.
