Well, we have been fortunate over the years, but alas, no more. North NJ is a disaster area. We expect power to be back on within a week or maybe two. I never thought I’d see long gas lines again up here, but it took a few hours to get enough gas to run the generator for a while. Without heat and well pump, this would truly be a nightmare, but thanks to the Genelec, this is at least tolerable, far better than last fall when the house was dark for three days and the house temp was 40. The oak population is sadly diminished even more with this storm. Many folks up here are faring much worse than I but it appears most are chipping in to get things back to pseudo-normal. I am fortunate in many regards. And thank you Verizon for Mobile Hot-spot.

We came through fine. I found a stick in my side yard. Not much damage in our community as a whole. I was amazed that there wasn't more.

I hope everyone got off as easy as we did. Power went out about 8:00 pm and came back on about 1:30 am. My wife walked around the neighborhood this morning and didn't see any real damage. Worst was an uprooted tree.
