Lol was a great musician, a wonderful innovator and great personality for that special  time in the 70s that was a great confluence of talent and art and luck.

Waterloo Lily What a great and now sadly obscure album. I still can't believe people threw that over for the "Dead Boys" etc...

Waterloo Lily started my affair with the Davolisynt.

Subject: OT - RIP - Lol Coxhill

I'm sad to report that Lol passed away yesterday.

He was most definitely one of my favorite saxophonists and he inspired me to become interested in listening to jazz and avant-garde music.

I was first introduced to Lol's playing, when I picked up Caravan's "Waterloo Lilly" album back in the 70's.

RIP, Lol...
