Lol was a great musician, a wonderful innovator and great personality for that special time in the 70s that was a great confluence of talent and art and luck.

I'm sad to report that Lol passed away yesterday.
He was most definitely one of my favorite saxophonists and he inspired me to become interested in listening to jazz and avant-garde music.
I was first introduced to Lol's playing, when I picked up Caravan's "Waterloo Lilly" album back in the 70's.
RIP, Lol...
