"New" on sale from Sam Ash---the lid had a crack in it though and ,as it turns out, the frame was bend from the very beginning and I had to bring it first to Dallas Arbiter and then to Sound Sales (yeah, I know) to try and get it working perfectly. It didn't work exactly as it should until 2007 when Jerry Korb was finished with it.

Tom, did you buy yours new? I paid $2900 for #500 around '72, which was sold as new. I found out later at Dallas Arbiter in N.J. that it had been on tour, even though it looked new.

I'm not advocating that prices on trons should skyrocket but the value of other vintage analog instruments certainly have. People are trying to get at least the original prices for Echoplex these days.
