I also use an Ebow. I love using it on a Strat single coil or p90 at the neck. In addition to dripping tape echo, I also run through a roto vibe pedal.

I am a junkie with E-bow. Most of the time I use it while playing slide and with gobs of echo. Luscious! I had great hopes of using it with a Coral sitar, but the buzz bar prevented the strings from vibrating...I was looking for infinite sitar drone, then playing it with a slide...somebody stop me!

Hackett often used an EBow for long, sustaining notes.
