Subject: RE: [newmellotrongroup] Mellotron M400 Lighted Power Switch WANTED.

The same switch also appears on some VOX solid-state PA amplifiers made in the late 60s/early 70s. If you're brave and handy they can be repaired, mine arc-d out so it was stripped and cleaned. The moving and stationary contacts were replaced with some similar ones modified to fit. It's been fine now for 10 years.

.....Just twist the wires together and plug it into a power strip with a switch!J and start playing!

“McGuiver” it until you locate a suitable replacement.  That switch must have been used in other things.

I seriously doubt that it was manufactured just for the Mellotron.  Martin would probably know.  The original

manufacturer may be long out of business and if Martin can’t find them I bet no one can.

I see.  I think if mine broke I would just make it turn on somehow.

Hi Gino,

Probably because we aren't too popular either! Anyway, the VERY few switches we have are not for re- sale, only for personal use. There are no others available anywhere and we have truly searched high and low and then high again!

Best,
